Nathan Ashton, a 20 year old left back, was signed on Thursday having been most recently on Charlton's books. It seems he was unattached, possibly due to Charlton needing to make salary cuts, but he has played for England U20's. He only made one appearance for the Addicks in the League Cup, but at 20 is "one for the future".
